Aaron McLisky is an award-winning cinematographer actively working across television drama, feature films, music videos and commercials.
Most recently, Aaron was the cinematographer on the star-studded action thriller Poker Face, for director Russel Crowe and Arclight Media. Aaron shot the third and second seasons of acclaimed television drama Mr. Inbetween (dir. Nash Edgerton, 2019) for Blue Tongue Films, Jungle Entertainment, Foxtel and FX. The series received multiple AACTA Award nominations as well as international critical acclaim, with many critics praising Aaron’s cinematography.
Other television credits include the third season of the hit Australian drama Glitch (dir. Emma Freeman/ Matchbox Pictures/ ABC/ Netflix, 2019) and the third season of the beloved comedy drama The Family Law (dir. Ben Chessell/ Matchbox Pictures, 2018).
Aaron’s bold and distinctive visual style is exhibited in a number of short films, including the award-winning Nursey Rhymes (dir. Tom Noakes, 2018) for which Aaron received the Flickerfest Award for Best Cinematography; as well as The Sand That Ate the Sea (dir. Matthew Thorne, 2018) which won Aaron the Silver ACS Award for Best Cinematography in a Short Film.
Aaron has recently completed shooting the horror film, Talk to Me, for directors Danny and Michael Philippou and Causeway Films.
